Preschool

Our goal is to encourage children to develop respect, self-control, and self-confidence in their social interaction during their time at preschool.

We want to help all children feel respected and loved. We also would like children in our program to develop high self-esteem and learn to be as independent as possible, develop problem solving and learn to work as team mates.

We want them to be ready academically and socially for kindergarten and grade school.

  • Choose a M/W, T/Th or 4-day schedule

  • Class is 10 a.m.-1p.m., includes lunch

  • $10/day

  • Child must be potty trained

  • Transportation from Shoshone and Dietrich may be available. Let us know if you'd be interested in this option!

Day Care

Day Care  Coming in the fall of 2025, we will offer full-day child care for children aged 2-5 including preschool. The facility will be fully licensed and certified to the highest of state standards.  We are now taking names on our waiting list for this program, which is funded by a grant from the Idaho Workforce Development Council and donations from Lincoln County businesses.

Afterschool

Afterschool K- 5 - Meet Linc, our LCYC mascot – His name stands for Learn, Inspire, Nurture and Community.  He’s a combination of the mascots of all three schools: the Dietrich Blue Devils, Shoshone Indians and Richfield Tigers. His job is to make our youngest afterschool participants feel welcome. Each student gets a healthy snack as soon as they arrive at the center along with a little bit of free time. Then, our talented team of coaches works with each child to enhance what they’ve already learned at school. From art to agriculture, sports to science students get exposed to a wide variety of subjects and new ways to learn. We are a project based facility, with hands-on activities. Afterschool programming is funded by a 21st Century Learning Center grant and is provided at no charge to Lincoln County families. Teen Time

Teen Time grades 6 -12: Our older afterschool program participants have a special place to learn and grow at LCYC.  The teen center is located directly behind the main building and is a place for kids to relax and learn. They each get a healthy snack, which they help prepare. Then they work with our coaches on life skills like cooking, finance and long - range planning, as well as fun STEAM activities. Afterschool programming is provided by a 21st Century Learning Center grant and offered at no cost to Lincoln County families. Click on the registration tab to sign your teen up for this program.
